In English Language Arts, students discussed realistic fiction books in guided reading groups. They have also been presenting their “Character in a Bag” book projects.
In Writing, students continue to draft their informational books, focusing on organizing their writing into paragraph structure.
In Math, students wrote their own multiplication and division story problems. Next week, we’ll begin a new unit on area and perimeter; however, we’ll continue to revisit multiplication and division concepts throughout the year.
In Science, we conducted a final test on students’ cart designs. We are wrapping up this current science unit and will begin a social studies unit on the Pilgrims next week.
